THC Podcast 036: 7 Power Tips For Finishing What You Start
The word “entrepreneur” has a bad stigma these days, and most people associate the word with people who are still living with their parents and are dead broke.
The reason a lot of people think this way is because most people do not finish what they start.
If you are not following through and finishing what you start, what do you have?
Nothing. That is what you have.
The reason most people don’t finish what they start is that once finished it becomes real, and it is time to face any fears they may have.
If you are staying in creation mode, you will never have to face failure, and you will never be able to test out your product/idea to find out if it is a success or failure.
This doesn’t pertain just to entrepreneurs or business owners. Same goes for salespeople as well.
For example, you buy a domain name to launch your website and never bring that it to life, or you purchase a digital training product and never finish the content.
It is all the same, and it is all dangerous to your chances of being successful.
In this episode of THC Podcast, Ryan Stewman is going to share with you how he can hone in, follow through, and finish what he starts.
7 Power Tips To Help You Finish What You Start
Power Tip #1 Define Finished –
You got to know where you’re going if you are going to get there. You have to know where the finish is.
You need to visualize what finished looks like so you then can figure out the roadmap to get you there.
Power Tip #2 Quit F*cking With Other Stuff –
Too much on your plate and trying to juggle multiple projects all at one time most cases will lead to multiple unfinished projects.
Get dialed in, and 100% focused on one project or task and knocked that joint out of the park then move on to the next.
Power Tip #3 Stay Away From “Idealists” –
Ideas are a dime of dozen. Everyone and their grandmother have the next big “idea, ” but the best idea is worthless without action and execution.
Don’t get distracted or off your path by buying into an idealist.
Power Tip #4 Map It Out –
List out and schedule the time to execute the tasks and actions required to get projects completed.
Step back and look at the picture, from there list out what needs to happen and when, so you can lay out your schedule and then stick to it.
Power Tip #5 Make The Time –
Once you know the actions you need to take to get it done, you need to allocate the time to do so.
You need to lay out your schedule and stick to it.
Ryan shares his tips for staying disciplined and sticking to his schedule to finish what he starts.
Power Tip #6 Make It A Priority –
To get things finished, you are going to need to have it on the top of your to-do list.
The task at hand needs to be a priority.
The higher of a priority you make it, the more likely you are to get it done.
Power Tip #7 Create A Deadline –
A key to finishing what you start is by setting a deadline and sticking to it. Refuse to not meet this deadline.
Setting a date for when a project or task needs to be completed will make it easier to lay out a schedule that will get it done by the deadline.
Ryan talks about deadlines and how he uses them to help him get so much done.
Are You Doing What It Takes To Cross The Finish Line?
No one is saying that following through and finishing what you start is easy.
It will require discipline and lots of midnight oil, but you don’t have to go at it alone.
