In the mainstream marketing world, David Ogilvy is known as the best marketer to ever live. Like seriously, when he retired he bought a castle in Europe. This dude had CASTLE MONEY. He was known for some of the greatest marketing campaigns still known today.

All of the legends like Frank Kern, John Carlton, Harlan Kilstein and Colin Theriot all follow many of the fundamentals David Ogilvy brought to the advertising game. I first read this book back in 2010 at the suggestion of a fellow marketer. My favorite quote from Ogilvy is “the consumer is not a moron, she’s your wife”

This book takes all the of the legendary campaigns and ideologies from the brilliant mind of David Ogilvy and brings them in one spot. You’ll get all of the legendary marketers theories, thoughts and turn-offs when it comes to advertising.

When I read this book it changed the game for me. It gave me a whole new perspective on my audience and how I should be advertising. Ogilvy was a very profound, yet very simple man and his explanations of his methodologies are easy to understand and most of all, easy to implement.

I give this book a shit ton of stars and highly recommend you read it.
