Social media has quickly become the liars hangout. From spammers with pictures of fake money in hand, to people pretending their lives are perfect. Look, let’s be real; No one is perfect. There is no perfect life. Even Dan Bilzerian has tough days. Yet, if you believed everything you saw, you’d think all your friends have perfect lives and your life sucks.
It’s not true! Everyone on social media is lying
The degrees of lies vary, but everyone is lying nonetheless. Maybe they don’t even mean to lie, it just happens. Then after a while, it becomes a habit. It starts small. You say some shitty food you’r eating tastes good. Then before you know it, you’re taking pics with strangers cars with your hands full of fake money. Even 50 Cent got busted with fake money and rental cars for photoshoots.
There’s a deeply rooted psychological reason for the plethora of lies on social media. I’ll dissect it for you. First, we’ve all known all along that the internet is full of lies. Social media simply made the shift from lying websites, to lying people on a website. The story is the same, the scene is the only thing that’s changed.
