I have this belief that everyone has a great salesperson buried inside them. Most people never uncover that great salesperson because they get a job in sales, selling the wrong thing.

If you’re gonna put yourself through the hell of being in sales, at least make it for something you love selling. Too many people sell shit they hate, to people they can’t stand, then wonder why their life sucks.
It doesn’t have to be that way for you!
First, you need to decide what you want to sell. It needs to be something you like. Truth is, you can make money selling virtually anything. You name it, someone is out there making millions selling it.
I say all that to reiterate that you don’t need to take a sales job, just selling anything. Figure out what you like and you will sell more of it just because you believe in it yourself.
If you don’t know much about what you want to sell, then time is now to start doing research. For example, let’s say you love jets, wanna sell jets, but don’t know a shit load about the industry.
This is where Google and youtube are your friends. You can pretty much find a master course on anything between those two sites. One of the main skills you will need in sales is resourcefulness, this is where you can start building that skill.
Even if you have to start off in an assistant position, for less money to get going, landing a spot on the dream team, at your dream job is a long term power move. Just getting in, is getting started. Most people want to start at the top, those who are willing to start at the bottom, are the ones who make it to the top.
Right now, there’s a dream sales job out there waiting for you. Hell, look around, all jobs are hiring, for sure your dream job is one of them. But if you show up empty handed, unprepared, and filled with ego, you can kiss your dreams and your dream job goodbye.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t take much to get ahead. Chances are, the fact that you’re even applying for your dream job, may be all it takes to land it right now. Employers are so desperate for help, they will take anyone.
