Lately, I’ve had quite a few roofing companies approach me and ask for advice on how they can stop knocking on doors and still generate leads. So I’ve decided to show you how to market your roofing business on facebook. It’s really easy and you don’t have to put a lot of time into it, if you are strategic in your process.

If you truly want to learn how to market your roofing business on facebook then pay close attention to what your eyes are about to read.

Let’s get real and talk real business about the issues roofing companies face when it comes to the traditional door-knocking aspect of marketing. First off, a person’s home is their sacred place. When a person arrives home from a hard day at work, they don’t want to be bothered by more issues that take away more of their time, they just want to relax. Same thing goes for anyone on their day off. Yet, most roofing businesses still insist on door knocking and overcoming the enmity of someone ruining their free time.

If the roofing sales rep is lucky enough to overcome that first demur, then they have to face the big 10,000,000lb gorilla in the room, the “Can you save me my deductible?” gorilla. Yes, I said it, because I know it happens. Some shyster before you, knocked on that same door, with the same sales pitch, only offering to do it all with “no money out-of-pocket”. Then you come along with the same song and dance but asking for money on top of it all. Even if you close the deal first, and they shyster comes behind you with the free offer, you still must make your case. It’s a pain in the ass and it is a big stinking funk on the industry. So how do you avoid it?

Now that we have all of that nastiness out-of-the-way, let’s talk about a better solution. One that will free up your time, cost you less money in gas and not annoy anyone, if done correctly.

Let’s turn to facebook.

The best way I know to stop dealing with the “save my deductible” syndrome is to stop soliciting in broke neighborhoods. Leave the homes worth less than $150k (depending on your area) to the shysters. When you do work for an upper middle class family, they never ask you to save a deductible. They have too much to lose and also the ability to pay their fair share. I hear you right now saying “ok, Ryan I get that, but you still have not told me how facebook can help me.” I’m getting there, I promise.

Now that we have a better understanding of who your target client is and what kind of neighborhood they live in, we need to see what type of businesses operate on a regular basis within these types of neighborhoods. Let’s make a quick list; Realtors, Lawn care providers, Insurance agents, and plumbers, just to name a few. These are the “insiders” that have already gained the trust of the community and are highly regarded as the go-to people in their respected fields. Find out who these people and businesses are, they are key to your infiltration.

Now that you know who these people are, let’s turn to facebook (finally) and start working our magic. The cool thing about knowing how to market your roofing business on facebook is that everyone you know, or want to know, is already on facebook. All you have to do is friend them up, show them you are an expert in the roofing industry and provide your services when they ask for them.

Becoming friends and actually incubating the relationship with others that already have your prospected audience, as their active audience is key. You will not have to knock doors, referrals will come to you and you can handle them with ease.

It really is quite simple if you know how to market your roofing business on facebook. Facebook is where all the eyes are, it’s up to you to appear before those eyes. If you want to know the method to market your roofing business without every having to cold door knock a house again, then fill out the form below and let’s talk.
