We all make mistakes but those of us who learn from them close more sales and live a better life. After all, closing more sales is exactly what leads to living a better life. I can tell you from first hand experience that the more money you make, the better your life is. Not that money buys you happiness, but money buys things that can make you happy for sure.

When I worked as a mortgage loan officer and started off in a cubical, I’d watch the 3 other guys next to me make the same mistakes over and over and never learn a damn thing from them. Meanwhile, I avoided their pitfalls and quickly made it to the corner office with multiple top producer plaques on my office wall.

They say the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. If that’s true, then most of the people working in sales are insane. Mistakes will be made, but learning from them, avoiding making them again and adapting to overcome them is what separates closers from posers.

In this video I talk about the mistakes that closers do not make and why some people working in sales make a lot more money than others. It all boils down to the mistakes you make and the lessons learned from them. Watch this video, learn from it and avoid making the same old usual rookie mistakes.

Also, here’s what I know: If you are a closer and you can generate your own leads, you become the most powerful salesman on the planet. Most salespeople can close, but they don’t have enough prospects to talk to in order to close them. Marketing is a crucial key to sales and when you get good at marketing you never run out of prospects to close.
