According to national data, almost 90% of all phone calls go unanswered. Less than 14% of emails get read and hardly anyone opens their door for strangers. The way we prospect and close sales is evolving. The sell no longer starts when we are on the phone or face to face. The sale almost always starts online.
Earlier this week, Berkshire Hathaway sold off over 1 billion dollars in Wal Mart stock. The reason for the sell off is that Wal Mart has hit critical mass, shows no growth, and Amazon keeps gaining marketshare. Wal Mart sold more stuff than anyone or anything, until Amazon recently dethroned them. People don’t even shop face to face much, let alone get sold.
